COMPETITIVE CHEER
Our cheer program has been around since the 1963, our organization is successful and family oriented. Our competitive cheer began in the 2000s, starting with a single comp at the end of the season. Since then, we have expanded our program to provide various competitions and opportunities for our cheerleaders. After winning multiple 1st place competitions, our cheer team is Nationally Ranked #83.
Some of our recent successes have included our youth and senior squads taking 1st place in the Delaware State Cheer Competition in their division. We are so proud to say our Senior Squad took home the Delaware State Cheer Competition Grand Champs Title.
Our objective is to maximize the growth potential in each and every one of our young athletes. This ultimately instills a positive mindset towards competition, athleticism, and facing new challenges.
All of our young athletes will compete in local competitions and, eventually, aim for the national championships. We strive towards the highest quality of instruction with experienced coaches and well-structured programs to ensure the best for your child.
Competitive cheer is a huge commitment. Both of our Performance Recreational Teams practice 3 times per week for 2.0 - 2.5 hours plus each team gets a weekly tumbling class included! Our teams have 8-10 competition events, with the season running from August through May with competitions beginning in November.

FIELD CHEER
Come rock the house and lead the crowd with your BW spirit! Join the Brandywine Warriors cheerleading squad and fall in love with this fun, popular sport. Our award-winning squads build self-confidence, teach sportsmanship and create lasting friendships among the cheerleaders.
Our cheerleaders learn cheers, chants, jumps, limited tumbling, dances and stunting — and will perform them all during football games, special events and an optional end-of-season cheerleading competition!
Age Standards
To ensure a safe and positive environment, each cheerleader is placed in a division based on age and skill. Our field cheer programs have no cutting of squads.
Child Safety is Our Priority
All coaches, assistant coaches and any volunteers in direct contact with cheerleaders have completed a criminal background check and child abuse clearance.
Commitment
Cheerleading requires a strong commitment to the program. Squads need every member present on a regular basis to perform their cheers, dances, and especially stunts! The success of the program is driven by the level of support delivered by our coaches, players, parents, volunteers and the community.
For more information on our Cheer Program or if you are interested in becoming a coach during the Fall 2024 season, please contact our Cheer Director, Tiffany Hostler.
We Would Love for You to be a Warrior!

For practices, all cheerleaders should wear a t-shirt or tank, cotton athletic shorts, and cheer shoes or sneakers (no thick soles). Hair must be put into a high ponytail and all jewelry needs to be removed, including post earrings, jeweled bobby pins, and hard plastic headbands. Please bring a water bottle labeled with your child's name.
Game Uniform
Brandywine Warriors will provide your child with a cheerleading uniform (vest and skirt) for use during the season.
** There is a $150 UNIFORM BOND REQUIRED (this will be held and returned at the end of the season as long as the uniform isn’t damaged) before any cheerleader can receive their uniform.
Physical Exam
Each cheerleader is required to have a physical exam completed by a physician before practicing with the squad. This is done at the expense of the parent/guardian. Physicals must be returned no later than August 1, 2024, to start practice.
